Cast + Follow

What it does

• Pre-duck up to 30 ms before a transient, making space before the big hit lands
• Hold the duck up to 50 ms after the hit, so its tail rings through
• Peak tracing: the envelope is drawn peak to peak, not rectified from the waveform
• Crest bridging keeps sustained bass from rippling the envelope
• 3-band dynamic EQ, driven by the envelope
• Waveshaping driven by the envelope or the raw waveform pattern, blended with Mix
• Cast any track as the source, anywhere in your Set

Choose [SWEG] or Live in Follow to share a persistent theme with updated Cast and Follow instances on this Windows user account. Gallery captures are from the earlier C55-derived build; Live colors follow the host theme.

Tested compatibility

• Windows x64 only; macOS shared-theme backend is not available.
• Project host evidence: Ableton Live 12.4.6; Max 9.1.5 last verified. No new native host test during this release.
• Shared theme choice is local to this OS user and computer. Only updated Follow and Cast devices participate.
• Existing D02 audio/Gen, parameter definitions and routing preserved; uneven motion and long-session memory limits remain.

Release notes

1.0.14 beta — Cast + Follow (Windows x64): - Select [SWEG] or Live in Follow's Utility panel to share one theme preference with updated Follow and Cast instances. The choice is stored for this Windows user and survives Set reloads and Live restarts; old saved per-device themes do not override it. - Cast follows the common palette. Its controls, layout and source routing are retained. - Follow's Utility tab shows a small dot only when a newer release is confirmed. The dot uses Ableton's dynamic Alert color. - Includes the user-selected D02 Follow lineage, the existing EQ Base/Mod ring correction and smaller EQ node numerals. Packaging preserves SharedTheme03 audio, Gen content, parameters and routing. - Both devices report 1.0.14 and check the stable release feed using the existing Windows updater v8. Install both devices from your account library with Live closed. Older releases do not participate in shared themes. Live-account native updater authorization remains unavailable; Windows helpers are unsigned. Known: Windows x64 only. Native Max/Live loading, multi-device theme synchronization, Set restore and appearance of SharedTheme03 remain untested; compiled file-persistence and mocked host tests pass. Uneven Scroll motion and scene-transition memory growth remain unresolved. The retained gallery uses the earlier C55-derived capture build and illustrates the controls and modes, not 1.0.14 performance.
